National Civil Defence Cadet Corps

ABOUT THE CCA

At Clementi Town Secondary School, the National Civil Defence Cadet Corps (NCDCC) nurtures youths who are ready to learn, lead, and serve their community with courage and compassion.

Formed in 2021, our NCDCC builds on the school’s strong foundation in uniformed group education to provide a purposeful CCA experience. Through hands-on learning, cadets acquire life-saving skills and develop the confidence to respond effectively in emergencies; both in school and beyond.

 Guided by our motto “We Learn, We Lead, We Serve,” every cadet’s journey is shaped by the Character and Citizenship Education themes of Identity, Relationships, and Choices.

 We Learn:

Cadets begin with the “Triangle of Life,” where they pick up essential civil defence skills such as basic firefighting, first aid, and CPR + AED. These are practical, real-world skills that help them act calmly and responsibly in times of need.

 We Lead:

As they progress, cadets grow into confident leaders. They strengthen their communication and teamwork skills, take on leadership roles, and specialise in civil defence tracks that deepen their understanding of rescue and emergency preparedness.

 We Serve:

Our cadets actively give back through events like Emergency Preparedness Day and NCDCC Service Month. They serve as community first responders, spreading awareness of safety and readiness, and showing care for others in meaningful ways.

 Through the NCDCC journey, students gain more than just badges or ranks. They build character, resilience, and a heart for service. They leave with the confidence to protect, to lead, and to serve; values that will stay with them for life.
